Titanic Escape Simulator Patch Notes: 1.0.1

Version 1.0.1 — 26 August 2026

The first post-release patch, two days after launch. The developer grouped it into fixes and accessibility.

Fixes

  • Fixed a mansion exploit where players could glitch into the attic by jumping and crouching, which exposed an NPC standing idle outside the intended playable area.
  • Fixed NPC placement in the First Class Seating and Writing Room, where an NPC could appear sitting on or floating above the table to the left of the entrance.
  • Fixed the First Class Lounge door after inspecting the crate in the cargo hold — players could previously walk through the closed door.
  • Fixed missing collision on several objects in the First Class Lounge, including pillars players could walk through.
  • Fixed a progression-blocking issue in Sinclair’s Room, where inspecting the doorknob could lock the player in place and prevent further movement.
  • Fixed an issue where toggling the flashlight during the Sinclair’s Room doorknob sequence could restore camera movement while movement controls stayed disabled.
  • Removed an incorrectly placed chess board.

Accessibility and controls

  • Added support for rebinding movement controls to the Arrow Keys.
  • Improved keyboard control customisation for players who cannot comfortably use the default WASD layout.
  • Updated keyboard control options with accessibility in mind.

Why this patch matters

The Sinclair’s Room fix is the important one. A progression lock is not a difficulty problem — it ends the run. If you played on the launch build and concluded you were stuck on a puzzle at a doorknob, you were not; you were stuck in a bug that has since been fixed.

The accessibility work is worth noting too. Shipping keyboard rebinding for players who cannot use WASD, two days after release, is a faster response than most releases at this size manage.

Pre-release announcements

The developer posted a countdown rather than a development log, so there is little technical detail before launch:

  • 23 August 2026 — 24 hours to launch.
  • 22 August 2026 — 48 hours to launch.
  • 17 August 2026 — one week to launch.
  • 9 July 2026 — release date announced as 24 August 2026, with the Official Release Date Trailer.

The date announced in July held without a delay.

How this page is maintained

Every entry above comes from magicprostudio’s own announcements on the Steam store page. That feed is public, and this page is checked against it after each new post. If a patch ships and this page has not caught up yet, the store page’s announcement tab is always the primary source.

For what the fixes mean in play, see puzzles and controls and settings.
